Introduction

Hotel Huron processes information about people on a daily basis. HotelHuron.be  abides by the law. HotelHuron.be  respects the privacy of the persons they receive information about and treats the information strictly confidentially. In this privacy statement we explain which personal data Hotel Huron processes and for what purposes.

The privacy statement also does not apply to the processing of personal data by third parties, such as companies and/or websites that offer travel or travel packages. We recommend that you read the privacy statement carefully.

Hotel Huron, based  in Belgium on the  Turnhoutsebaan 43  2400 Mol, info@hotelhuron.be  is responsible for the processing and storage of your personal data.

 

1. Member States shall communicate to the Personal data

Hotel Huron processes different types of personal data, for different purposes. For (booking) an overnight stay in one of our accommodations, or for renting out one of our meeting rooms, the hotel needs your name, address, place of residence, phone number, day of departure and arrival and your payment details. We may receive this information from third parties, with whom you have gone through the booking process. If necessary, we may ask for additional personal data of you for the performance of our services, such as your nationality or guest preferences. We only process health data on the basis of your consent, in order to be able to better serve you, for example providing access for disabled people. In addition, we are legally obliged to verify your identity. We will do this on site at the hotel on the basis of an identity document shown by you. We're not copying this. This data is only used internally and is not passed on to other organizations for commercial purposes.

 

CCTV

Huron uses CCTV to the extent necessary to secure her property and protect her guests. By means of the camera images, Huron obtains insight into the activities of persons and license plates.

 

2. The twostates shall communicate to Recipients

We do not share your personal data with companies, organisations and individuals outside the Hotel Huron itself, except in any of the following circumstances.

 

With your permission

With your consent, we can pass on your personal data to other parties. The consent only applies if it is clear what you give your consent for and what the consequences are.

 

For external processing

We provide personal data to our partners so that they can process data for us, based on our instructions and in accordance with our privacy policy and other appropriate confidentiality and security measures. Our partners include our IT suppliers and administrator of the CRM system.

 

For legal reasons

We share personal data if we believe that disclosure of the data is necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations, legal procedures or requests from government agencies.

 

Legal obligation

If a legal obligation requires this from us, we will provide your personal data. For example, it is possible that the police will request data from us as part of the fraud investigation. Another example is that under Article 47 of the General Law on State Taxation, the tax inspector can claim all the data necessary to levy taxes. Hotel Huron makes agreements with the recipients of your personal data to ensure that the personal data is treated and protected confidentially.

 

3. Member States shall communicate to the Retention period

We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary, unless there is a legal duty to keep your personal data for longer. Our basic principle is that we only keep personal data as long as it is necessary to provide you with our products and/or services. After this, we will delete your personal data as far as possible. If you have provided your email address (possibly via your account) so that we can keep you informed of our services, we will still keep your details for that.

 

4. The otherday shall be substituted Transfer of personal data outside the EU

Hotel Huron can transfer your personal data from Belgium abroad. Countries within the European Economic Area (EEA) have an equivalent level of protection of personal data as  Belgium. In accordance with the general requirements of privacy laws and regulations, we may pass on your personal data to countries within the EEA. For example, we can do this within our group for good business operations.

Outside the EEA, we will only pass on your personal data if there is an appropriate level of protection.

 

5. Cookies

Hotel Huron uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on the visitor's device (electronic device) on the first visit on a website. Cookies aim to collect information about someone, the website or statistics. Some cookies also aim to improve the user experiences of the website.

 

Type cookies

We distinguish between functional and non-functional cookies. We always place functional cookies. These are necessary to make the website work properly. Non-functional cookies process personal data out of your sight field. These mainly enable us to improve our services. For example, we can measure how often our website is used and what information visitors are looking for. We always ask for your permission to ask for non-functional cookies.

We use the following non-functional cookies.

 

Analytical cookies

With analytical cookies we collect statistics about the use of the website by the users. By measuring website usage, the website can be improved to the benefit of the users.

The following data shall be stored, among other things:

  • the IP address, which is made anonymous;

Right of access

At your request, we will inform you in writing whether we process personal data from you. When you request, you must identify yourself by means of a copy of your driver's license or identity document. In our response, we explain which personal data we have processed or processed from you, and we will give you a copy of it. We also explain the purposes for which the data is or are processed, with whom the data is shared, how long it is expected to be stored, and what other rights you can make applicable.

 

Improvement or supplement

  • we have collected your data through mobile telephony or internet services.

 

Processing restriction

If you have reported any inaccuracy or incompleteness in your personal data to us, you may ask us to limit the processing as long as we have your request pending. You may also ask us to restrict the processing of your data if you believe that we process your data unlawfully or no longer need it, or if you have objected to (further) processing thereof. Upon receipt of your request for restriction, we will only process the data after obtaining permission or for important reasons (such as legal proceedings).

 

Transfer of digital data

If you have provided us with personal data in a structured, common digital file format, and we have processed your data with your consent or in the execution of an agreement with you, you have the right to ask us for a copy of this information. In these cases, you can also ask us to forward your data directly to another service provider.

 

Objection

You may at any time store against the processing of personal data relating to you. This is especially true for profiles that we have created on the basis of your personal data. We will cease processing your data upon receipt of your objection, unless we can argue compelling justified reasons that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms.

If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you may object to it at any time and we will cease processing immediately.

 

Exercising rights

If you would like to use one or more of your rights listed for this purpose, please contact us via the email address: info@hotelhuron.be .   Hotel Huron will decide within 4 weeks at your request, unless we let you know within that time limit that we need a little more time.

Will your personal data be processed on the basis of your consent? Then you have the right to revoke your consent. Any withdrawal of your consent is without prejudice to previous processing on that basis.

 

Liability

Despite the care and attention paid to the management of this website, it is possible that the site contains incorrect information. Hotel Huron cannot be held liable for technical or editorial errors contained in this website, nor for any consequential damage seen as the result of the use or temporary non-availability of this website or links to third-party websites.
